Windows 7 ultimate can't find script engine "VBscript" for script when running vbscript
Hi all, Recently I got this error message from my Windows 7 ultimate: "can't find script engine "VBscript" for script [E:\....] " when running vbscript. After I tried the command "regsvr32 vbscript.dll" and it said "DllRegisterServer in vbscript.dll succeeded", but it still does not work by still showing "can't find script engine "VBscript" for script [E:\....] " as before. Does anyone know how to solve this problem? I really don't wanna reinstall the whole system. Thanks, Hao

Hao, See if running the .vbs association REG fix here solves the problem. File Association Fixes for Windows 7 http://www.winhelponline.com/blog/file-asso-fixes-for-windows-7/ Ramesh Srinivasan | The Winhelponline Blog Microsoft MVP, Windows Desktop Experience

There should be issues in the script. Is the script edited by you? If so, I suggest you discuss in script center forum. Hi, I also have the same problems on my Windows 7 machine. The vbscript works fine on other machines. The file association is registered to wscript, and running "regsvr32 vbscript" succeeds, but I'm still having the problem. Any ideas welcome?
